Trans Agila and Yara Gas II - dead or alive?
« on: September 17, 2013, 06:45:30 AM »
Hi folks,

for some time now Trans Agila (IMO 9113707) seems to send her AIS-signal from a street in the north of Kiel, Germany. Her status is still "under repair" since her grounding last November. Is she really still under repair or has she already been broken up? If so, where and when?

Yara Gas II (IMO 7509172) has been at Frederikshavn, Denmark, for the last 28 days according to her AIS-signal. As Yara Gas I, her sister, has already been broken up at Frederikshavn earlier this year, I am wondering if now it is Yara Gas' II turn. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,
Jens

Moin Jens!
According to "Coasters & other Ships revived" the Status of "Yara Gas II" changed this month to "Broken Up" by Orla

Moin Stefan,

damn, that's exactly the kind of reply I was hoping not to get...:-(

Thanks a lot for your help!

All the best,

Moin nochmal!
I wouldn't expect a positive message for "Trans Agila" either since GL reported the ship as sold for scrap already in January 2013 and there wasn't any further Classification messages.

Stefan

Jens,

Trans Agila arrived at Frederikshavn at 1230, Jan 28, in tow of tug Egesund, assisted by tug Balsund, to be scrapped.

Hi

Lots of news. Indeed sad news course both ships are gone.

Is there any Info about M/V Landia (IMO: 6918821) ?

What is her History of the last 482 days ?

Landia (6918821) remains fully classed with Germanischer Lloyd so, unless GL is way out of date, she is still alive.

Stefan and Phil,

thank you both very much for your help!
Too bad, Trans Agila is the only one of the four sisters of type 154 missing in my collection:-(

Hello Phil

Thank you for your info. I checked for example Equasis.
Of course still she has class , she will be listed.

I was hoping to get some information like : Lay up ? Trading ? Sold ?

The last time I saw Trans Agila on the Humber, she appeared to be hogged. Is this the reason for her scrapping?
