« on: May 21, 2013, 03:37:19 AM »
Hi all,

I am looking to obtain an 'Arcadia' model (one shown below in the picture) that I believe are only sold on-board the P&O cruise ships, for approx.

Hi Mark,

I am not sure what the scale of that model you have attached is. However there are a number of manufacturers of various models of the very small scale of 1:1250 available around the world.

You could try Mercator for a start. just place the ships name and the scale you are looking for and some data will come up.  The cost of the Oriana by Mercator was 4 times that of the model you are inquiring about (Cost wise.)

Good luck Greg

I was on the arcadia a couple of months ago and you are right they are sold onboard for about 68 pounds. I  thought the models to be of poor manufacture, They do come up on the P&O site for sale on ebay I think there was one for sale last week But I think I would save my cash. I stood in the shop on the Arcadia and I thought in value twenty pounds tops and I collect 1/1200 model ships most of my life.
