Maersk are pulling out of their service between Auckland and Tahiti. Pacific Direct Line will charter a R-Class vessel from PIL for the service. It will be a sister to Forum Fiji and Kota Raja (Capitaine Tasman).
She will be renamed "Southern Trader" and enter service shortly. Maybe it will be the old Capitaine Tasman?

MSC have replaced the ageing Komodo with the Mare Britanicum 9235074 on their 'Capricorn' service, presumably releasing the former to have an appoitment with a gas axe on a beach somewhere

"Southern Tiare" IMO 8719176 which has been laid up in Auckland since 6 November 2012 is to be renamed "Manini" by Matson South Pacific.
They are also renaming "Reef Samoa" IMO 9264245 "Liloa", and "Southern Reef" IMO 9141704 "Olomana".
I guess the other vessels will also be renamed in due course.
They are certainly putting their stamp on their new acquisition.
