Lets hope that,s not the next casualty
but when I look at the track, slow drifting,, the master never thought about dipping the anchor to slow the drift or let it fall complete ? The waters are not that there ?  are they ?
NOW!!!,,,if we could get rid of the sailors,,how safe shipping would be !!!!!!!!

She finally dropped anchor and she's save. Ievoli Black left and now Triton and Hercules are with her. There's a helicopter in the air and if neccesary the heli will take people from board. Ievoli Black went to IJmuiden, I saw her there, but she's coming back now. Videofootage will follow. I better go to bed, it's 03:00 :-)

Some videofootage. Not the best, but it's something. She is almost 3,5 km away, it was pitch black and there was a 6bft wind blowing.

I'm off to bed :-)

Thanks Capt. Ted

hi fred
for the conditions a superb video
She is a little smaller (1500 GT/4000 tdw) as the ships I sail. Seeing this I can pretty
good imagine how the crew feels in such a situation. The only good thing I can detect is that the vessel hardly rolls but pretty good pitches, which is easier to deal with then rolling, special in such a situation.

Capt. Ted,

I think you have the wrong Ocean Victory. The ship in question is a 28,000 dwt handy bulker. She might appear smaller being tossed around in the swell in Fred's video  ;)
