The large gantry crane in Lindoe, Denmark has today lifted the ship M / V Norbjørn II - IMO 7324871 which is 77 m long, 13 m wide and weighs 880 tonnes - from water and 45 meters up in the air, over a great Hall, before it was put ashore in the drydock.

The task is performed by HJ Hansen who now begins the dismantling of the ship. The dismantling is expected to take approx. 14 days.

I saw that ship quite many times in Longyearbyen last year.

I still had a hope that this old JJ Sietas vessel will  make
somehow longer.Unfortunately I was wrong,......................
But she got a very spectacularly end ,.........................
