Hello Phil & Ken,
Categorizing a vessel as a yacht on basis of publications in yacht magazines is somewhat strange, especially since the classification society has a different view. This is what I picked up earlier from Piet Sinke's Shipping New Clippings:
"Life aboard a modern superyacht demands ever more gear to maintain the highest level of luxury and comfort for owners and guests. The 69 mtr long SEA AXE FAST YACHT SUPPORT vessel (FYS) GARCON built by DAMEN and marketed by AMELS-is the ideal vehicle for stowing all that gear . . . and assuring all that luxury. The FYS is a high-speed, high-capacity, all-weather oceangoing craft that carries helicopter, tenders, toys, fuels, consumables, and crew, to free up luxury space aboard the "mother ship." Superb performance and seakeeping are assured by the new SEA AXE hull, an exclusive form created by the DAMEN team."
So her main purpose is to carry freight and other goods, not guests or passengers. This is a fast yacht support vessel which would be used by companies who exploit a fleet of yachts commercially. I feel you should create a new category for this ship, because knowing Damen there will be more to come. Alternatively you could create a subcategory under yachts.
Brgds,
Rob
