A Dutch Man is ready to purchase the vessel. He has the money.
There is a huge problem : STAR CRUISES sold the vessel end of December, the fales contract stipulated that the scaper is not permitted to resell the ship to a non scraper.
Let's all get together and flood STAR CRUISE for a last try to save the vessel , with the following email to send to :

NCL MIAMI to the PRESIDENT COLIN VEITCH : [email protected]

STAR CRUISE MALAISIA VICE PRESIDENT GERARD LIM : [email protected]

and secretariat [email protected]

The Vice President Corporate communication of Star Cruises Mrs Jane Poh : [email protected]

PLEASE DO SAVE THE SS NORWAY, "ex FRANCE "
Please withdraw the interdiction to resell the NORWAY to an non scraper allowing NORWAY a new life "

You may find the scrappers signed a purchase contract similar to the one used by P&O when selling the Canberra. I quote from the Canberra's website (www.sscanberra.com):-  P&O's insistence that Canberra never sail again was highlighted within the bill of sale itself. The breakers, who paid $5,640,818 for the ship, signed a contract with the following macabre clause:

"ownership of the propellers shall not pass until blades have been cut and removed from the vessel and ownership of the boiler, turbine-generators and propulsion motors shall not pass until the vessel is cut up to the extent that it is not practicable to rebuild the vessel"
