It's a disgrace that a EU flagged ship in distress is not allowed into an EU port. Is that the result of 60 years of European integration? Not something to be proud of !

Questions?
Vessel has been on fire since July 15/2012. Why has the fire not gone out or the vessel sunk?

What harbor would you suggest accept a vessel in this condition?

Augusta (Italy)- There is a sheltered bay with deep draught where the ship can be towed in and once at anchor fire extinguished. Then there is an empty terminal about 100000 square meters where to discharge the containers. Once ship is empty they can tow her to their preferred repair shipyard or demolition yard in Montenegro, Turkey, Malta, Italy or send East of Suez!
