I hear on the news today here in Canada that it will be next week. They don't know the exact day or hour because that will depend on weather and sea state. It will be exciting to see. I hope there's going to be good coverage. ;D

Sorry for the delay but I still have some photos left from my departure at the start of the month to add to shipspotting, - will do within a few days.

As for parbuckle date and schedule ...... Watch this space

Then further photos definitely keep watching shipspotting !!!

Cheers, Dan.

BTW, Reuters today, carried a slideshow of the ship, taken by an Italian Navy plane; shows all the sponsons in place.  Too bad the images aren't larger, though...

Not all those who wander are lost...

Next time I take a photo of her she is going to look very strange - providing the parbuckling goes to plan !

Cheers, Dan.

Hi,
is there any timelapse available for previous months, showing installation of structures on the ship?
I found this interesting timelapse archive, but it begins just a few days ago:

From this point of view you can see it started moving:

Use "timelapse for Firefox" to store one image every xx seconds on your hard disk! :-)

I don't see so many progresses: in 4 hours it rotated just 2 or 3

Just watched the press conference. They say pull is now at 2.000 tons and is being ramped up, and that more progress will start to show shortly.

Fingers crossed!

Still pulling?!?
When is Isaac Newton going to enter the scene?!?  ??? I mean, I thought most of the work would have been performed by gravity. Is it known at which angle no more pulling will be needed? Or will they pull till the end?
