Hi guys, whilst on this subject although slightly different.... does anybody know what has happened to the Norman Bridge?  I see her AIS says that she has headed east and gone to Singapore, but does anybody know who has bought her and what route(s) she will be undertaking? I sailed on her as a cadet when she was the "Blanca Del Mar".

Hi,

Norman Arrow has been renamed KatExpress 1 by Mols Linien and is now at the ARNO yard in Dunkerque, France begin repainted and converted for her new role. She will be used on Mols Linien's Odden - Aarhus route.

Norman Bridge was only on charter to LD Lines and is now indeed bought by Equinox Offshore. She will be converted into an accommodation ship and renamed ARV 3. More information can be found on their website: http://www.equinoxnrg.com/. They had previously bought the former Tallink vessel Meloodia, which is the only ship confirmed to have been converted for use as offshore accommodation and renamed ARV 1 (see their website). Later they purchased the former Irish Ferries ship Normandy, which is mentioned on their website as ARV 2 but it is still unclear if she has actually been converted. The Normandy is still named Normandy and has been in Singapore since October 2008, her condition is unclear but listed on Equasis as "Converting / Rebuilding".

Regards
