1  Shipspotters all over the world / Shipping News and information / Re: ships sold for scrap nearly live from Chittagong on: February 02, 2018, 02:57:18 pm
Hi Friends,

2 days ago I visited all scrapping yards in Chittagong. It was my 3rd trip. You are right.
I haven't looked at all of my pictures but i think I have as containerships only seen:

MSC Mandraki IMO 8613310 1/2 scrapped
Tian Xin ex Ville de Mars also 1/2 scrapped

in October there were 3 LNG perhaps this one I saw 2/3 scrapped was left

some Glovis Ro-Ro Carriers,  2-3 Ro- Ro Ace and the Frisia

a lot of Tankers.
newest and largest delivery OS Arcadia 298.960t.
one other marked as VENTO makes a lot of trouble. When I came he lays 90 degrees to the others and unbelivable when I went a lot of people 200 (?) really try by hand to bring her to the sand back!!!!!

2-3 cabel layers (?)

one FPSO i have to check a new one or left from October.

and a lot,lot of other vessels from all over the world.
Greetings

Peter

5  Shipspotters all over the world / Help and Advice / Re: Stade, River Elbe on: April 08, 2017, 07:17:42 pm
Hi PietB,
near Stade is Stadersand. The perfect location for spotting ships. The ships are very very close in front of you. A small selfservice restaurant with a balcony is also there. The food is cheap and good, also they have toilettes.
To come there you need a car.  I think there is no public transport. When i'm in the north i always visit this place. Another good place is Lühe some km down to Hamburg.
If you have any questions send a p.m.
Thanks

Peter
6  Shipspotters all over the world / Shipping News and information / Cape Leonidas blocks the Elbe on: January 17, 2017, 01:53:11 pm
the 7 years old,  300 m long bulker  Cape Leonidas loaden with coal (?) from Narvik blocks the river Elbe in front of Kollmar.
the Cape Leonidas has a break down of the engine. 4 Tugs are on side. Actually ships with a length under 150m can pass all others has to wait inbound round Helgoland or outbound in her harbourplaces.

Riihimäkistraße 38a, D-23795 Bad Segeberg / Telefon 04551 / 96 87 67

eMail  info@gudverlag.de - www.gudverlag.de

but nothing about shipscrapping. Also not in Germany. For shipscrapping you must look to turkey,  Pakistan, India and BANGLADESH.
Wky are you interested?
