1  Shipspotters all over the world / Site related news, functions and modules / Watermarks on: June 03, 2019, 07:45:54 am

this happens when pictures without a good watermark are uploaded. A good idea is to place a clever watermark over the whole picture so that the original object (ship) is not obstructed at all and no viewer is "offended" by that watermark. I think it should be possible that an automatism places a semi-transparent watermark over the picture, diagonal or horizontal once uploaded. This will prevent thieves. If one is interested in the original picture without a watermark, he can ask the photographer/copyright owner.

Yvon, Thank you!

Best regards,

3  Shipspotters all over the world / Help and Advice / Ship identification on photograph - research vessel? on: August 23, 2018, 09:54:14 pm

is one maybe able to identify the ship on the left image border?

To me it looks like Explora or Prospekta  7016981 / 7016981 due to their distinctive twin funnels, but I am not sure if one of these survey vessels have ever been in the research ship colours as this one is pictured (as Polarstern, Meteor, etc.).

Hi,presently I am searching for plans of the MV Winston Churchill and MV Dana Sirena (1969) from DFDS for a scale model. Does anybody have information where to get this if still existent because both have been scrapped. Any help is appreciated. Thanks and best regards,
