But in the end  I can not see why we have to bother with any Captcha system in order to report an error.   It's just more pointless time and effort, that seemingly achieves absolutely nothing.

what actually is the point of the Captcha system - personally I find it a bind and often very difficult to decipher

may be we should Bob, at least they would not need to be re-engined like the type 45 disasters.

I seem to recollect some time ago there was a confirmation that there would be no retrospective deletions - has this changed ?

Thanks Alan and David, I thought I had seen the Onyx with her yesterday on AIS.   Onyx had been at St. Helens Anchorage for some considerable time.

Does anyone have any information regarding the Kopersand, currently being towed into Southampton through the Needles Channel by the tugs Wyeforce and Wyestorm.   She arrived in Freshwater Bay, southwest of the Isle of Wight, I has assumed for shelter, yesterday whilst on a voyage from Hull to Pasajes.  Southampton VTS is useless - they think she is arriving from Shoreham.  Any info welcomed.

Mekhanik Yartsev (Riga for Warrenport), currently at Bravo Anchorage in the Solent with SD Independent which accompanied her from St. Helens and the Sandown lifeboat RNLI 16.17 circling her.

I assume either a medical emergency but would have expected a heli job, or shifted cargo.  Anyone with a radio that can give any further information ?

thanks, but internal refits don't normally require sea trials

Anyone know why Oceana has been doing 'sea trials' today - she arrived back from Hamburg yesterday.  Has she had engine problems ?

absolutely right Chas, and with the prevailing westerly winds it all gets blown over Soton City Centre - but as you say, its the poor motorist who picks up the tab.   But I have to say unphased traffic light don't help either.

Interesting news; they arrived 16th and 17th.   Could be MMD are protecting themselves against the threatened SERCO strike...  at least the fruit will continue to come in even if the navy can not move !!!
