Yesterday evening a collision found place on the river Westerschelde near the Berendrechtsluis between the DN31 (a small dredger from Jan De Nul) and the Luxemburg flagged tanker Crystal Topaz.
1 person from the dredger is dead, the other 2 crewmembers from the DN31 are still missing. A liferaft from the dredger was found empty.
On board the Crystal Topaz all crew are safe and sound.

Last night, around 1am local time, the bulker "Federal St Laurent" (IMO: 9110896) collided with the quay on arrival at the port of Antwerp. The vessel, flying the flag of Barbados, is loaded with fertilizers. The vessel is making water due to 2 holes in the bow.

According to Equasis the name is Sea Axe 5009 IV and it is a (new) crewboat.

P&O announced that they will re-start on April 7 the Zeebrugge-Dover service with the European Endeavour. The service was ended in 2002.

According to the BBC the UK-flagged "Asian Glory" (IMO 9070474) is hijacked off the Somali coast. Still according to the BBC the vessel is manned with seafarers from Bulgaria, Romania, India and Ukrainia.

At aislive.com the signal from the Nirint Pride is visible, the MSC Nikita black out.
According to marinetraffic.com the Nirint Pride is now sailing on the Oude Maas.

According the her AIS-signal the Nirint Pride has now arrived in the port of Rotterdam assisted by the tugs "Smit Ierland" and "RWS 21".

According to the Belgian media the Belgian flagged stone carrier "Pompei" (IMO:  8706583) is hijacked early this morning off the Somali coast. On board are 10 crew (Belgian, Dutch, Croatian and Philipino).

Hi,

Does someone know what the problem is with P&O's Pride of York? According to AIS Live she is now arriving in Hull assisted by the tug Svitzer Ellerby. The Pride of York left Zeebrugge yesterday around 23h local time. Normaly she left Zeebrugge around 19h30 local time.
Does she have problems (engine,...)?

According to the Belgian media a fishing accident took place yesterday off the British coast with a fishingvessel from Ostend (Belgium). 1 crewmember died. Does someone knows more about it?

Hi,

If the weather is fine the Repubblica di Genova will be towed to Antwerp Shiprepair this Sunday November 18 2007. Before the operation the Port State Control will inspecting the vessel. The vessel will be assisted by 4 tugs (2 from URS and 2 from the Antwerp Port Authorities) and by pilots.

Hi,

The Friedrich Russ will sail today at 4pm local time to Bilbao in Spain. The other vessel deployed on the Trans Iberia-service is the Elisabeth Russ. Transit time will be 38 hours.

According to the Antwerp Port Authority Svitzer will start tomorrow August 30 2007 with the lifting of the Repubblica di Genova. The lifting will take about 72h.

Hi Stan,

According to our colleagues from tugspotters the Pioneer Bay suffered a total black out last night at the "Nauw van Bath" on the Westerschelde. Another vessel had to be give way. The both vessels ran aground. The Pioneer Bay is now in Antwerp, the other vessel (name unknown) was going to Flushing rede for inspection.
