I have received news of the death of one of our founder members Jim Gallacher who sadly passed away on Mar 18th 2010.
Jim was a stalwart of the site in the early days, his membership number was 40 and his favourite place for ship photographs was Oshawa in Canada, his album is a tribute to his dedication for the site.
Jim was a merchant seaman of Scottish origin and was proud of his association with Shell Tankers, I have had many interesting telephone conversations with him over the years, unfortunately his health declined and his contributions to the site were less, but he was a valuable and supportive member and will be sadly missed.
Regards
Ken

Thanks for the info. I knew he was not that well but this is sad news. Used to email each other pretty often.
He will be missed. Rest in peace Jim! :'(
