Title: Timber carrier sank in Biscay, crew saved by helicopters

In the afternoon Dec 10 2010 general cargo North Spirit requested immediate assistance 50 miles off Cape Ortegal, Bay of Biscay. Vessel was enroute Sweden

The North Spirit was a sistervessel to the Ice Prince, which sank also after the deckcargo of timber had shifted in the English Channel few years ago. Also many other vessels of this type had suffered serious list when their deckcargo shifted in heavy seas.
