Risaire A Desgagnes is being repaired at sec 44 Port of Montreal, photos in todays Aug 7-8Boatnerd, are you sure it was the Terry Fox, she don't go up to the far North, as far as I know, I may be wrong.

I have photos that I took yesterday at sec 44 Port de Montreal, I know the Terry Fox was at Port Alfred this winter and then Quebec City, after that the Lower St Lawrence, and the Gulf.

Like I said I could be wrong but it did not look like a collision as the bow and other parts were not touched.

Did you see the photos?.

Part of the info was right!
Not for Verreault's Drydock!
Likely the insurance favoured  fast afloat repairs!

The dammage to the  Rosaire D bulbous bow could be from a collision with low lying structure or might  verywell be with stern of a small ship like Terry Fox (or a barge used for transfer of cargo to small wharfs like those of Quebec North but then it would be much smaller )!
Otherwise there would be likely dammage to upper parts of Rosaire's D bow!

Yes I went to see your photos of Rosaire.D's repairs in Mtl !
Your photos are new's quality!
It would be interesting to have a look at the dammage before steel removal!
I'll look  shipspotting also for your photos!

I was wondering if its done inhouse by Desgagn

Jean, the Terry Fox does travel up north contrary to what I said earlier, Dean Porter at St John's, Newfoundland, confirmed this for me. The company doing the repairs on the Rosaire A Desgagnes is Mount Royal Walsh, I will go back a get an update on how the repairs are advancing.

cheers,

Kent

I just learned through a contact in industry it was from a collision with a berg near IQALUIT.

Hi guys,

I was on the rosaire as third mate. We went trought 150 Nm of 10/10 ice composed of 8/10 thick first year ice with 2/10 of old ice.

We fought for 6 days making our way to Iqualuit. The Terry Fox was trying to escort us but was stuck most of the time.

I will post photos later.
