Post by: Stan Muller on July 25, 2007, 03:12:41 PM
Pioneer Bay seemed to be in trouble on the Wastern Scheldt at Antwerp today. 2 tugs pulled her away from the beach. She was out of the waterway to the locks. a third tug went to assist but returned when she was comminng around.
I cannot find info on the internet newspapers (yet)

If you have more info please let me know.

Hi Stan,

According to our colleagues from tugspotters the Pioneer Bay suffered a total black out last night at the "Nauw van Bath" on the Westerschelde. Another vessel had to be give way. The both vessels ran aground. The Pioneer Bay is now in Antwerp, the other vessel (name unknown) was going to Flushing rede for inspection.

More at http://www.tugspotters.com and clicking on "nieuws" and on "scheldenieuws".
