Hello Lukasz,

JANTAR (JANTOR) left Italia on October 22nd 1991, towing the damaged crude tanker AGIP ABRUZZO (1977 / 98950 gt / 7365473), bound to Karachi. They called at Las Palmas (where the tanker was renamed ZEUS) and  at Cape Town. The convoy arrived at Karachi on January 25th 1992, where both, towed and tug, were sold for demolition.

An other tug was involved in the towage. I had noted the russian tug UMCAR, but I cannot find anything on this name (so perhaps an error ?), nor if she was also broken up.

Regards,
Yvon
