Cargo ship with heavy cranes PALERMO IMO: 9238088 , seems to be laid up at Charleston since 2017.
Then I have heard that she was sold as-is in order to be repaired (there was engine problem) and most probably would become a us navy auxilary ship... Since then just by curiosity i have checked it in various photo databases, even in facebook or instagram but haven't found sth.Does anyone know sth?

I don't know whether it is significant or not, but her last voyage, Callao, Peru to Charleston via Cape Horn was to bring a consignment of spent nuclear fuel, arriving 25 Jun 2017. The, as Petros mentions, rumours that she had a problem at Charleston - perhaps a grounding.
But she had a clean USCG inspection two days after arrival.
Then sold to unknown buyers in 11/2017
German/Antiguan dual registry closed and DNV/GL class withdrawn during 2019
Last AIS position on a pier near to the USCG/North Charleston. Not sure when dated, but cannot see on Google-Earth in Charleston area
