Title: Jalesh Cruises ship disposal (Karnika)
Post by: Angelgreat on November 03, 2020, 02:13:28 PM
Today, the Karnika (ex. Crown Princess, A'Rosa Blu, AIDAblu, Ocean Village Two, Pacific Jewel) has been sold for scrap in Aliaga. Her operator, Jalesh Cruises, went bankrupt due to the pandemic and has sold the vessel to Aliaga for the equivalent of US$ 11.65 million. She's still laid up in Mumbai, but will sail to Aliaga soon. Oops, sorry. I did meant to say Alang, but I got the name confused since the majority of the vessels scrapped due to the pandemic were sent to Aliaga, Turkey. But yes, the Karnika has been sold for scrap in Alang, India.

Karnika is still laid up in Mumbai, but will sail to Alang soon unless we save her. Maybe we can buy her from the scrappers or have the same billionare that bought her sister ship Satoshi also buy her (and maybe rename her Satoshi II).

I have serious doubts regarding the success of SATOSHI let alone them taking on a second vessel.

KARNIKA wasn't still at Mumbai; she arrived off Alang 21/11
SATOSHI arrived at Gibraltar a couple of days ago - no photos seen yet
