Title: 1958 Movie Port of Hamburg
Post by: Manfred on October 21, 2020, 05:40:28 pm
Hi all,
an old film footage of the Port of Hamburg in 1958 was put online today by NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk/North German Broadcast) that haven`t been shown since.
It covers 18 minutes of harbour life, ship yards and cargo handling in an excellent b&w quality even in full screen.
Ships visible are KERSTIN, QUARTOLE, HOLNIS, HOLSTEN, EDUARD RUSCHE, ANDROS, PERSEUS, BELLO, CITY OF BRISBANE, HANSEATIC, LAARDERKERK, ESSO SALISBURY, INTERPRETER, HESSENSTEIN, HINRICH OLDENDORFF, PAZIFIK, HELIOS, HORNSUND and PRINS WILLEM GEORGE FREDERIK plus many steam tugs.
Enjoy I would say,
Best wishes, Manfred
