Title: "Exposed password" message after log-in
Post by: csaba on January 02, 2020, 05:04:23 PM
This message popped onto my screen today after I logged in and urged me to change my password. Did anybody else had it?

I haven't had this, nor received any other reports as yet.

Hi,

This could be a message from your browser. I read that Google Chrome now warns you if the password you are using for a certain website has been leaked online somewhere in a previous hack. This is to warn you about this and to encourage you to change it.

More information can be found in this excellent article by The Verge:

Many password managers are available these days, which you can use to generate a unique password for every website. Many of these apps are free or built in to a browser or operating system.

Kind regards
Cedric

I received an email from shipspotting confirming my registration stating my username and my password

Is This usual and why reveal my password? I have never experienced this before

I currently encounter the same "Exposed password" message after logging in, and I'm wondering if you can do me a favor.
