Title: London Gateway going ahead with berth 4:
Post by: chrisg46 on August 12, 2019, 11:21:11 AM
Having opened its first berth in 2013, it's second in 2015 and it 3rd in 2017, DP World London Gateway has recently requested tenders for the construction of it's 4th berth, which should start construction soon.
The port was originally designed to have 6 berths when complete and basic dredging and landfill to accommodate the final plan was carried out early in the construction process, so that each new berth can be built relatively quickly.
All of London Gateway's berths can accommodate 400 metre long ultra Large container ships, and it's cranes can handle vessels 25 rows wide.
