Title: Data not updated.
Post by: Captain Carlitos on May 02, 2017, 06:27:53 AM
Regards,
How is it possible that the database of the web is not updated ?, I say because for example http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=2654341, this ship is photographed and uploaded to the web Since October and its data are still not visible. And it's already seven months.

The Database is not something that the Admins can maintain. Up till early 2015 the data were supplied by the site Gross Tonnage, and the site software just incorporated their data. As GT data also included ships on order (by the IMO number), ships that were completed after the demise of GT (such as the ship you are referring to) still show some input on the data sheet on Ship Spotting, but soon, with orders placed for ships after the end of GT, the data sheet will be totally empty.

Efforts to link to another external data source have so far not been successful.
