Title: CHIEFTAIN - but which?
Post by: Jens Boldt on December 04, 2016, 01:22:38 pm
Hi all,

can anyone help with some data (possibly an IMO number) for this one:
http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=19958#

Is this the later converted 1930's Chieftain, IMO 5070127?

I can't tell from the photos I found around here...

Cheers,
Jens

Hi Jens,

Juergen is correct, she is wearing the funnel colours of Steel and Bennie.

best regards
Derek

Yes, you are both right - interestingly, one has to go by the name as she had the same funnel colours for her first 20 years as ST EVAL.

Jürgen, Derek and David,

thank you all for the help with this one! :)

Comparing the photos with that of St. Eval posted here, I wasn't 100% sure if this was the right "Chieftain".

Cheers,
Jens
