Title: Marine Traffic using Google Chrome
Post by: Robert J Smith on October 12, 2015, 03:21:21 pm
Hi,

Anyone else experiencing problems on Marine Traffic when using Google Chrome?
Site works OK but no map is showing on "live map"!!

I get this on both my desktop and laptop using different internet access. Desktop is Windows 7 and laptop is Windows XP

Marine Traffic works without any problem using different browsers on both my desktop & laptop

Any ideas?

Regards

Bob

Hi Bob,

If you use the adblock extension, Marine traffic's latest update is incompatible with it.
Now I have to switch adblock off for Marine Traffic and put up with all the crappy ads!

best regards
Derek

Hi Bob,User chrome with ad blocker in Win7, there were two days when I could not see ais at Marine Traffic (user so instead Vessel Finder) but after two days ran it again even though adblokker was enabled and still do.

You have of course tried deleting your cookies :-)

Or try AdMuncher https://www.admuncher.com/   ..sits in system tray and covers all browsers. Very little resources used compared to browser add-ins. Regular updates but you have to go to "Options" "Update" tabs within configuration. (Right click on icon in system tray). You can tweak settings to suit yourself or if not really too techie use "out of the box". I've not had an ad in years and its FREE!!
