Title: Site Content
Post by: Bill on January 04, 2015, 08:29:52 PM
Perhaps I've been a member of Shipspotting.com for too long (since the days when the total photo count was around 250,000), but it seems as if the quality of many of the postings has declined.  They appear more like snapshots instead of photographs, and many of the great contributors of the past seem to have disappeared.  This isn't necessarily bad in that newbuildings and previously unseen vessels continue to be introduced to the site, but there is a certain sameness to many of the photos.  I miss the relative close-ups of ships in the Keil Canal and the photographers who often submitted photos of U. S. tugboats but no longer do so.

Will you believe me if I tell you that some people have posted photos of very small lobster boats on here?
