I remember like in the end of 90s - beginning of 2000s I watched on tv some documentary or report about a kinda salvage operation - some big white catamaran ferry (like those from InCat or Austal) with green sign Cat-Link on her side was being towed by tugs off like shallows or little island...   But I can't find anything about that accident/operation in the web nor that catamaran.  Any help?

Regards,
Denis

Denis,

This must be the occasion when Robert Clifford, founder and chairman of Incat, drove one of his own wave-piercing cats up onto the rocks off Hobart.

Thing is, although it was big news at the time, I can't find anything about it either. Though to be fair, I've only spent about half a minute looking  Wink

Cheers
Phil

Just found this on Wikipedia:

The 1994 season was the Condor 10's last on the Weymouth - Channel Island route, as she was replaced in March 1995 by the larger 78m Incat Condor 11 but her introduction was delayed when the vessel grounded during the sea trials off Tasmania. Condor 11 was travelling at 36 knots and under the command of Incat managing director Robert Clifford when she struck Black Jack Reef some 12 miles off Hobart on 9 October 1994

I'm sure this is the event to which you refer.

Cheers
Phil
