I have uploaded 3 pictures of OCEANIC IMO 9624550 on shipspotting.com, 2 of them were stolen by users "Big Edisson (RUS)" and "mutlu" and posted on marinetraffic.com! This is simply outrageous; I wrote to marinetraffic.com a few days ago but they just didn't delete my photographs!! There is no reaction!!

Here you can read my e-mail to them:

http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1611019
http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1611021

To the administration of shipspotting.com: Please bear in mind that only registered users of shipspotting.com would be able to do a violation like that. This should be of interest to you!!

Please make marinetraffic.com delete my photos immediately!

Please advise, thank you very much!

Best regards

Hi Valery,

I took a look at the links you gave and found your pictures had been removed. So their administration must have adhered to your request. But yours are not the only pictures on that site with suspect copyright; there are quite a few more !
Your info: there is a sentence in the box under the pictures saying "Löschung des Fotos beantragen" By clicking this, you request them to delete the picture. So they must have had prior experience.....

Good luck !

Rob.

Hi Valerij,

I can understand your annoyance about this but as has been said so many times on this Website it is a risk we all take when uploading to the internet, having said that there is no excuse for this behavior but unfortunately we have no control over it and it is I am afraid down to individual members to deal with personally.

I will on your behalf take the matter up with the individual members you have named with regard to their behavior but beyond that there is little that I can do.

I understand that the offending photographs have now been removed from Marine Traffic.

Kind regards
Ken
