SICHEM MANILA is anchored in front Port-Alfred with a broken propeller. Discussions heard over VHF radio between ship and Coast Guard that a tug from Quebec City will be coming to tow it back to Quebec City for repair.

Thanks Michel B. for the information.

(Update 16h30)

Tugs OCEAN ROSS GAUDREAULT and OCEAN CHARLIE are in front of L'Anse-de-Roche. Tugs are expected to arrive at 21h30 at Port-Alfred. For those interested in listening to the towage operation you can listen to the conversations on the VHF Radio at :

(update 18h00)

Just heard that the icebreaker CCGS RADISSON was called to help the ferry CAMILLE MARCOUX that is having problems with the ice. The towage of the SICHEM MANILA might be postponed.

(update Tuesday 7h30 EST)

SICHEM MANILA towed by the tugs OCEAN ROSS GAUDREAULT and OCEAN CHARLIE have left Port-Alfred last night and are downbound on the Saguenay River near L'Anse-de-Roche. From what I can see from the AIS, OCEAN CHARLIE is pulling and OCEAN ROSS GAUDREAULT is at the rear for steerage.
