Well done Aaron, this is a great thread for those of us in this part of the world.
Europe's not the only place where it all happens.

New build Wallenius Wilhelmsen PTCC's and RoRo's :

2011 built PTCC the new "Figaro" IMO 9505041 is in Auckland today 4th January, on the WWL Europe to Oceania service. This presumably replaces the old ship of the same name, IMO 7917563. This is a DSME built sistership to "Tiger" IMO 9505039 , "Tugela" IMO 9505065 and the new "Carmen" IMO 9505027 that have visited Auckland in the second half of 2011. These are 232m LoA, 71,600 Grt. Tugela's next scheduled visit is on 10 Feb, Carmen's on 9 March.
The new "Parsifal" IMO 9575395, the second of four contracted of the new Mark 5 RoRo's built by Mitsubishi Nagasaki yard is due in Auckland on 24 March. This is one size larger at 268m LoA, 76,500 Grt than the DSME ships and have a stronger ramp to load heavier machinery. Sistership "Tonsberg" IMO 9515383 is due in Auckland again on 21 February.
There is a new ship "Tysla" IMO 9515400 scheduled to visit Auckland on 24 April. I do not know if this is the third mark 5 RoRo of the four ordered or another DSME built PTCC.
The Wilhelmsen branded ships ( with names starting with a "T") are painted in orange and white, the Wallenius branded ships ( named after Opera's ) are painted in Green and white.

regards,
Nigel

MSC Monica is transferring from the Capricorn service to the Kiwi service replacing Conti Harmony. Conti Harmony will phase into the Capricorn service in NZ before being off hired in Singapore.
A new replacement for MSC Monica is TBA.

The California Mercury has finally gone for scrap to Xinhui in China, where she arrived at the end of December. She has been replaced on the Singapore/Port Kelang service by "NYK Lyttelton".
Rudolph Schepers will stay on the Japan service.

ANL Burilla will offhire in Singapore after calling AKL / MEL / SYD / BNE.
Her replacement on the OVSA will be NSC Schiffahrts Pescara 9419797 , a 3534 Shanghai Chengxi class vessel - she is not expected to take on an ANL name however!

MSC's website is showing the E.R. Brisbane as the replacement for the MSC Monica on the Capricorn Service.

Another change that went by largely unnoticed was the withdrawal of the MSC Nora after just 2 voyages and her replecemnt with the return of the MSC Brasilia.
