Cunard Cancelled Cruises ANZ
« on: June 17, 2021, 06:43:02 AM »
Cunard have cancelled all upcoming 2021/2022 cruises in Australia and New Zealand. Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth will be rescheduled from the UK. Queen Victoria will be out of service until April 2022 ( Queen Elizabeth will take up her cruises ). This is due to uncertainty when the current cruise ban will be lifted by the Australian government. Other companies may follow.

Meanwhile, the BBC News website is this morning remarking upon (among other shipping matters) the situation in Florida, where the State Governor is saying that shipping companies asking for Covid passports or other proof of vaccination will be fined several thousand US $ per passenger for discrimination, and some firms are considering going to other US ports where, apparently, the State Governor isn't a "Trump" supporter.

Due to the uncertainty of the new coronavirus, there are also many uncertainties in cruise ships.
