So we have the problem of getting Wilson's Cement containers from Marsden Point to Lyttelton.
I wonder if they will ship it on the Aotearoa Chief. She is also a Swire vessel and Lyttelton has bulk facilities.
Watch this space I suppose.

I think they only have bulk facilities at Lyttelton for Holcim Cement not for Wilsons.

Matuku has been anchored in Tasman Bay since 11 July with no further movements listed for any port.
Kokako continues in service, but even she does spend time at anchor between voyages.

She is due to arrive in Nelson 4 August with ETD of 13 Aug. Berthing at McGlashen Quay - not a usual berth for tankers at this port.

The Matuku is getting a Ballast Water Management system installed. They anchor in Tasman Bay to hide from the weather

The dilemma with Wilson's cement containers shipping from Marsden Point to Lyttelton has been solved.
The coastal container vessel Moana Chief will bring the empty cement containers from Lyttelton to Auckland. Matson's Pacific Island vessels Olomana, Liloa II and Island Chief will discharge empties from the islands in Auckland, load the empty cement containers and head to Marsden Point. There they will discharge empties and load full containers and head back to Auckland. The full containers will then be taken to the container terminal to be loaded on the Moana Chief for Lyttelton.
Job sorted  Grin
