Hi Robert,

Did a quick search and found that it has a MAN (B&W) 11G95ME-C9.5 as main engine.
So that's a eleven cylinder with a bore of 95cm and a G-type which means ultra long-stroke.
It has a power of 61530kW (82513 horsepower).

It must be a down-rated engine as an 11G95ME would normally be possible to deliver more then 90000 horsepower (haven't got the exact figures here).

Not sure with how many crew OOCL sails but it won't be a lot different from my company so I guess they sail with around 20 persons.

Cheers,
Roy

btw found the info here:  https://www.eagle.org/safenet/record/record_vesseldetailsmach?ReferrerApplication=PUBLIC

In this case, "super long stroke" means 3.46 metres, which is indeed a long way for the piston to travel

Yes Bob saw that on the ABS website, but don't believe that as it will give a stroke/diameter ratio of a little over 3.6. I tought the G-type has a s/d ratio of more then four. But maybe not for the 95cm model.

Cheers,
Roy

MAN Diesel & Turbo, in its publicity for the G95, also says the stroke is 3,460 mm, providing 6,870 kW/cylinder at 80 rpm

MoRoy:  Discrepancy in specs. This is from the MAN web site.

Doosan Engine has reported that the initial start of an MAN B&W 11G95ME-C9.5 two-stroke engine took place during October 2015 at its works in Korea
