Cape Leonidas blocks the Elbe
« on: January 17, 2017, 01:53:11 PM »
the 7 years old,  300 m long bulker  Cape Leonidas loaden with coal (?) from Narvik blocks the river Elbe in front of Kollmar.
the Cape Leonidas has a break down of the engine. 4 Tugs are on side. Actually ships with a length under 150m can pass all others has to wait inbound round Helgoland or outbound in her harbourplaces.

sorry only in German

I'm far away from the sea to Hamburg I have a longer distance as to Venice or Genova. My favorite is the Suez Canal, Panama Canal and since 2006 also Chinese harbours.

150000 tons ore from Narvik, being unloaded in Hansaport now.
