HMS Illustrious departure
« on: October 30, 2016, 02:00:02 PM »
Afternoon all, heard today that HMS Illustrious is due to leave Portsmouth in early November bound for the Turkish breakers.
Can anyone please confirm a specific date for the sailing?

Thanks

Mike

I thought another campaign was launched a few weeks ago to try and save her by a Tory MP.

Odd.  Cannot trace a tug called EARL, TUG EARL or *** EARL (RESOLVE EARL is at Mobile USA)

QHM now confirms 09:00 departure for Ereclea destination lurking around Spithead. Illustrious on the move at 09:30 with 5 tugs (including Lomax from Soton). Oh, and the weather is exactly as could have been predicted!
