Hi Anthony,

I only found two, Port de Beyrouth and James Craig (IMO numbers already amended).

And I just checked once more - for Ryde I found 5302714.

A+
Jens

Hi Anthony,

Good to see you helping out now, is this the Ryde you are referring to  http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=196357.

Having seen your message I realised the IMO was missing and have now edited my shots of the vessel.

Kind regards
Ken

Hi Anthony,

the IMO for James Craig is correct, I checked with Miramar and Equasis. Built in 1874 as Clan McLeod, beached as a hulk in Tasmania (don't know the date), restored from 2001 with IMO 8676788 (Miramar). And Equasis has her as built 1874, call sign VJMR, MMSI 503493000, Flag Australia, Name James Craig, in service since 2001.

No idea why Grosstonnage has her not in the database...

Port de Beyrouth, maybe I was to quick... The names confused me, too, but Miramar said that IMO 5153486 was broken up by Treffers in Haarlem in 2009 (as it says in the photo description, too). I deleted the IMO again for the time being. Maybe someone around here can enlighten us.

The IMO for RYDE is from Miramar (no result for that number with Equasis), but at least 5302714 is a valid IMO, I checked this. Miramar has her as Ryde, built 1937, hulked at Newport, Isle of Wight, in 1972 and broken up at Binfield Marine in 2010 (photos showing her at the breaker's are online here, too).

Kind regards,
Jens

Hi Jens,
Thanks for your help :-)

There is some photos of the JAMES CRAIG to amend, if you want :-P
Maybe GrossTonnage have deleted a part of her databases after its "bankrupt"?

For the PORT DE BEYROUTH, it

Well, yes, the Port de Beyrouth is a tricky one. But at a second glance I agree with you the the tugs in the two photos look different, too. It would really be a strange thing if one tug with the first name "Port de Beyrouth" and one tug with her last name "Port de Beyrouth" both end up in the same year at the same breaker's yard...

And no, I found no IMO for James Battle...

Ok, I'll keep the amendments for James Craig in mind - not tonight... it's getting too late.

kind regards,
Jens

Here's some more info on the PORT DE BEYROUTH/HOLLAND, showing that as built she didn't resemble either tug, but listing that she had been rebuilt multiple times: http://www.historisches-marinearchiv.de/projekte/duenkirchen_wracks/ausgabe.php?where_value=192

An image I found of her before the fire showed an Official Number of 2208584 on the bridge wing, which led me to the information on her identity of all places on this site, stating that she was built in 1955 as the tug IMSUN.

http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=824002

Interestingly, the tug she's moored along matches the original PORT DE BEYROUTH, later HOLLAND, as seen in Wim Kosten's photo on the site. Them moored together adds credence to the notion both were broken up around the same time.

Kind Regards,
Kyle

Hi Kyle,

thanks for further investigation.

So the "Port de Beyrouth" Anthony is looking for has no IMO, but ENI 02208584, built in 1955 as "Imsun" and broken up by Treffers at Haarlem as "Port de Beyrouth".

And the other one, "Holland", has IMO 5153486, built in 1940 as Port de Beyrouth, and she also was broken up by Treffers at Haarlem in 2009.

Life's funny ;D

Kind regards,
Jens

GRAND TURK was renamed ETOILE DU ROY in 2010 under the French flag, can't find an IMO for her
