I don't know it for a fact but it appears as though the Pierre Raddison will be coming to free Lake Ontario from the ice. That would be exciting to see.

CCGS GRIFFON is presently in Port Colborne. CCGS AMUNDSEN is also supposedto head that way tomorrow.

The CWB MARQUIS is now going  through the first lock of the seaway. She will be the first cargo ship of the season.

The tug Sea Eagle II and barge St. Marys Cement II was the first vessel through the locks, receiving the Welland Canal top hat award.

Unfortunately, the lacker CWB MARQUIS, navigating in the ice, went aground at the entrance of the Bauharnois's lock. Authorities are assessing the damage.
